Are there any hidden costs?

Free SMS Delivery does not charge you to deliver a text message.

How do I know my text message was received?

You really don't know unless the person responds to you; so, for example, it's important that you enter your (originating) mobile number properly, including your mobile number's country code, in case you want your recipient to reply.

I sent a text message and it was not received by the mobile subscriber.

• MAY BE ABSENT SUSCRIBER.

  We try one time to deliver the message, but if the subscriber is out of range or the phone is off when we try to deliver it, the message will queue for an hour.

• MAY BE NETWORK TIME-OUT

  related to the operator in-country or some transit point along the way, but means that we tried for a while and at the end, it timed out in the short message service centre, and we could not terminate the message. We suggest trying again later. If you really are keen to use the service on a regular basis, email us to make sure.

• MAY BE NETWORK CONGESTION





Do I have to be in the same country that I'm sending a text to?




NO.

This is why this free text service is so great. As long as you are on a computer or mobile phone with access to the internet, you can send text from anywhere to any destination we offer.




There seem to be so many websites that offer some kind of free SMS. Why is this any different?

I sent a text to my friend and he didn't receive it even though his phone was turned on.


That's a difficult one-not uncommon-but don't give up. If it recurs, send us an email and we can verify what might be happening.




Do I need to be connected to WiFi or have a data plan to use the Android mobile application?




YES.

While your handset is connected to WiFi or your mobile phone's data plan, you simply enter the recipient's mobile number starting with the country code followed by the mobile number. The application knows to route the message through our network.
